Bed-E-Byes has been created to help people unwind at night and assist the body have a restful nights sleep. This sleep tea has a beautiful combination of lavender and chamomile (without an overpowering taste), which help induce sleep. Passion Flower, Withania and Lemon Balm work to calm the nervous system, and Peppermint works to calm the digestive system and add a lovely flavour to the tea.
It’s the perfect addition to your nightly routine. By switching off all electronics, making a cup of sleep tea and relaxing before bed, you are guaranteed to get a more restful sleep.
We want our brains to switch off from the day and be able to go into a deep sleep, so we can process the day. This tea is such a lovely way to help induce this deep sleep.
Preparation: Add 1-2 tsp tea to 250ml hot water. Allow to steep for 5-10 minutes.

Ingredients: Passion Flower, Withania, Lemon Balm, Lavender, Peppermint and Chamomile.

Passion Flower: Traditionally has been used to calm the nervous system, increase GABA in the brain and reduce anxiety, stress and depression. Studies have shown that it has a similar effect on calming the nervous system as benzodiazepines. It is also indicated for insomnia to improve sleep quality, lower blood pressure, ADHD and reduce gastrointestinal discomfort. Studies have also shown it may help increase the anti-depressant effects of st johns wort.
Withania: Traditionally has been used as a restorative tonic, and in the treatment of nervous exhaustion, anxiety and stress. It has been used to help encourage rest and relaxation. It is a wonderful adaptogen, indicated in helping the body adapt to internal and external stressors and rejuvenate the nervous system. May help increase physical endurance, balance cortisol production related to stress, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and support the immune system.
Lemon Balm: Traditionally Lemon Balm has been used to help reduce stress, promote relaxation and calm the nervous system. It has been indicated to help reduce anxiety, depression and promote a restful sleep. It has also been used to calm the digestive system, reduce PMS, mood swings and headaches, as well as improve memory and concentration. It may help with irritability and restlessness.
Lavender: Traditionally Lavender has been used in the treatment of anxiety and depression. It is indicated for reducing nervous tension, slowing nervous system activity and inducing a state of relaxation and calm. It has been used in the treatment of insomnia and may improve sleep regulation. It may also assist in the treatment of migraines, stress, exhaustion, restlessness, digestive distress and reducing inflammation.
Peppermint: Traditionally has been used to treat digestive complaints, including IBD, IBS, gas and bloating, cramps and intestinal spasms. It is also indicated for relaxing the body and mind, helping to reduce anxiety and headaches. May also help reduce inflammation and aid in weight loss.
Chamomile: Traditionally has been used to help treat insomnia, anxiety, depression, reducing digestive distress, relaxing the nervous system. It is also anti-bacterial. It is indicated in reducing inflammation, and treating skin conditions, headaches, colitis and regulating blood sugar.
